Point at the plate.
Know what you’re working on.

Photograph an appliance’s rating plate and get the exact model, how old it is, the owner’s manual, the parts that commonly fail, and any open safety recall — instead of typing a fourteen-character model number into a search box with gloves on.

The mobile app is in development. There is nothing to buy yet.

How it works

Three steps, one photo

1

Photograph the rating plate

The sticker or metal plate with the model and serial number — behind the door, along a side panel, or on the back. Add a photo of the whole unit if the plate is worn.

2

We read it and research it

The model number is normalized, matched against known variants, and researched across manufacturer and public sources. Most scans finish in well under a minute.

3

Get the full picture

Model and family, appliance type, specs, estimated age from the serial, manual links, common parts with OEM numbers, and any open CPSC recall.

What you get

Built for the person actually holding the wrench

The exact variant, not just the family

Suffixes matter. A Bosch WAS28775/23 takes different parts than a /21. We keep the full raw string and match on it, tolerating the characters OCR routinely confuses.

How old is it, really

Serial numbers encode a manufacture date in a different scheme for almost every brand. We decode what we can and tell you plainly when a date is an estimate.

Open safety recalls

Every identification is cross-referenced against CPSC recall data. If there's an open recall, it's the first thing you see, with a link to the official remedy.

Manuals, from the source

Deep links to the manufacturer's own manual and support pages. We link — we never host or mirror anyone's PDFs.

Parts with real numbers

Common replacement parts for the model, with OEM part numbers where we can verify them, and links out to retailers that stock them.

History that stays useful

Save a scan with a nickname, job reference, or property. Group appliances by property to get an inventory with ages and recall flags for the whole site.

Pricing

Free to start, and re-scans are always free

Free

Three fresh identifications. Anything already in the library is free and instant, forever — no limit, and it never counts against those three.

  • · Full results, manuals, parts, and recall checks
  • · Saved history and property grouping
  • · Shared crew history for teams
  • · No account, no email, no signup wall

Paid plans

Higher fresh-scan allowances for people who scan all day are planned for the app store release. Pricing isn’t final, so we’re not publishing numbers we might change — they’ll be listed here before anything goes on sale.

The library is why this works: the first person to scan a model pays for the research, and everyone after them gets it instantly for free.

Worth knowing

What this is, and what it isn’t

Identifications are generated by AI and can be wrong. Check the model number against the appliance before you order a part.

Symptom-to-part suggestions are advisory — a starting point, not a diagnosis. Verify fitment for your exact variant.

We’re a referrer, not a parts retailer. There’s no cart and no fulfillment; you buy from the retailer under their terms. Some parts links are affiliate links.

Major kitchen and laundry appliances today. Water heaters and HVAC use different nameplate conventions and aren’t supported yet.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do I need an account?

No. There’s no signup, no email, and no password. The app identifies your device so your history follows you, and that’s the only identifier we hold.

What happens to my photos?

They go to our servers to be read, and to our AI provider for the reading itself. They are never used to train third-party models. Photos from scans you don’t save are deleted within 90 days, and you can delete everything at any time from the app.

Why is a re-scan free?

Because the expensive part is the research, and it only has to happen once per model. Once a model is in the library, answering for it costs us almost nothing — so we don’t charge for it.

Can my crew share a history?

Yes. One person creates a team, everyone else joins with an invite code, and saved scans are visible to the whole crew.

What if it gets my appliance wrong?

Tell it so — there’s a thumbs-down on every result. Repeated reports pull a bad entry out of the library so it stops being served to anyone else. You can also email support@mrappliancepro.com.

Want to know when it launches?

Send us a note and we’ll tell you when the app hits the stores. No list, no marketing drip — just one message when it’s ready.
